Today was a day about being on the phone. I talked to almost everyone on the first page of our contact sheet at least once, and some several times.
But in the midst of all that dialing and redialing, I received a package of something for my phone that I think is pretty cool, so I thought I’d share it here.
Check out the photo below. It’s a custom Godspell iPhone case! Fun, right?
The “genesis” of the iPhone case goes like this: I have an investor that walks a lot of red carpets. Because she gets a lot of camera time, and because she often tweets from wherever she is, she sometimes gets paid to encase her 4G with a branded iPhone case. Last week, she called me and said, “Ken, I’ve got an idea! Get me an iPhone case and I’ll get the logo on TV.”
She had me at TV.
So we made some, and they arrived today. Fun, right?
What I love about them is not only their visibility and functionality (see this promo item blog), but I also love how they take Godspell and marry it with something very “now”, which is exactly what we are doing with the show. We may be a classic musical, but we’ve sooooo taken it into the iPhone generation.
I only bought a handful of these cases for my staff, but I loved them so much I also put them on my “must list” for merch items to sell at the theater. They’re too expensive right now (around $39), but we’ll find a way to make them cheaper so they can be available for purchase in . . . 83 days.
(If you can’t wait until then, and want a Godspell iPhone case now, email me and we’ll set you up.)
